The BEYOND FEAR project aims to prevent and manage workplace harassment by promoting safety, respect, and inclusion. As highlighted by the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE, 2022), harassment can take many forms - from psychological abuse such as mobbing and bullying, to isolation and sexual violence, including unwanted advances, sexist comments, or blackmail.
These behaviours harm individuals, causing anxiety, depression, and loss of self-esteem, while also impacting productivity, organisational performance, and corporate reputation. Too often, victims lack the tools to recognise and respond to abuse, while employers, even with good intentions, may be unaware of the scale of the issue or lack effective strategies.
BEYOND FEAR aims to:
Raise awareness among women workers about their rights;
Provide practical tools to recognise and address harassment and abuse;
Support organisations in building safe, respectful, and inclusive workplaces.
The project is co-funded by the European Union.
The main objectives include raising awareness among female workers about their rights and violence prevention, providing practical tools to recognise and address harassment and abuse, and supporting companies in implementing policies and practices that foster respectful and safe work environments.
By fostering safe, inclusive, and equitable workplaces, Beyond Fear promotes long-term cultural change, aligns with EU priorities on gender equality and workplace safety, and offers adaptable tools with cross-country impact. Our goal is to build a future where every woman can work with dignity and security.
