Empowering Professionals to Support Women Carers Effectively

Who supports the people who spend their lives supporting others?

That question guided the Care & Cope workshop for professionals supporting women carers that took place on June 27 in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Professionals came together to strengthen the way they support women in caregiving roles. Caring for a loved one can be deeply rewarding, but it often comes with burnout, grief, isolation, and emotional exhaustion that remain unseen.

Through honest discussions and practical tools, we explored how professionals can better recognise carers' needs, respond with trauma-informed approaches, and provide support that protects both wellbeing and dignity. By investing in those who work alongside carers every day, we're helping build stronger, more compassionate support systems for the women who so often put everyone else first.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed their expertise, experiences, and commitment to creating meaningful change for carers in Cyprus and beyond.

Care & Cope is an Erasmus+ partnership between The Serendipitous Black Cloud (Cyprus), Women Elevation Malta, and Mathimata Zois (Greece) and is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Learn more.

What Happens When Artists and Entrepreneurs Instead of Working in Parallel Start Learning From One A

That was the question at the heart of our IMAGINARI participatory workshop in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Together, we explored the realities of building sustainable creative careers, the challenges that often go unheard, and the kinds of skills, support, and collaborations that are truly needed.

Every idea, experience, and perspective shared will help shape IMAGINARI's learning programme, ensuring it responds to the real needs of Cyprus' creative and entrepreneurial communities and contributes to a stronger, more connected creative ecosystem across Europe.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who shared their stories, challenged assumptions, and helped imagine what the future of creative work could look like.

IMAGINARI is a Creative Europe project running across Sweden, Cyprus, Greece and the Netherlands. It brings two worlds together, artists and entrepreneurs, in the belief that the people who imagine new stories and the people who build new ventures have a great deal to learn from one another.
